Every training course is designed to equip trainees not only with theoretical knowledge but extensive 'hands on' practical experience gained from the availability of the most modern and comprehensive range of equipment to be seen in any educational establishment. The main Institute of Metrology at Coventry houses built-in audio-visual facilities to complement the hands-on course content.
Courses are held at our four main training centres at Coventry, Andover, Halifax and East Kilbride. On-site training at Customers’ premises can also be arranged.
Attending a Mitutoyo Metrology course can result in the trainee receiving Certification recognising the programme of instruction completed, and where appropriate will also receive City and Guilds Certification of the standards attained giving a highly valued endorsement of achievement, benefiting employer and employee.
City & Guilds Award in Dimensional Metrology (Level 2)
This award in the subject of dimensional metrology is on the National Qualification Framework and is the first metrology qualification to be offered by City & Guilds. It is intended to support career entry or progression in the field of product quality and is available exclusively through Mitutoyo in the UK.
The award comprises at least two units, each lasting from one to five days, delivered at Mitutoyo UK training centres located at strategic locations throughout the country, with all training delivered by qualified Mitutoyo personnel.

There is no prior knowledge required for the Fundamentals of Dimensional Metrology, but this must be completed before undertaking any supplementary unit.
